- Walk This Off review from Queens of Country

Heather Batchelor is...

"one of the Nashville pop scene's brightest new stars" (Aileen James, Queens of Country). Originally from Little Rock, AR, she grew up singing in choir while her father taught her to play guitar. Family car rides were a soundtrack of the 70s.  Artists such as Carole King and Al Green felt right at home alongside Sara Bareilles and John Mayer. Fusing pop and soul became a natural instinct for Heather, as did moving to Austin to pursue music. She began performing in the courtyard of her college campus - the University of Texas at Austin - and was soon playing shows all over town. It was at this time that Heather caught the attention of a team of Nashville producers and decided to make Music City her new home. Ever since, this songstress has become a powerhouse. She’s released three EPs and performed with artists such as Honey County, Elise Davis, and Daphne Willis. Heather was also featured on Nashville’s own Lightening 100 radio station, the title track from her “Walk This Off” EP landing a spot on their Monday night show, The 615.

With her latest single release, “Ready,” Heather Batchelor is definitely an artist to watch.
